Razer renowned for their succcessful branding within the gaming sector have branched out into professional audio with their new Adaro line.
The Adaro series will see a launch of four new SKUs – the Adaro In-Ears Analog Earphones, Adaro Stereos Headphones (plus a Wireless Bluetooth variant) and the Adaro DJ Headphones.
“Making technically advanced headsets to meet the extraordinary requirements of professional gamers has been a primary focus for us for years, and applying that competency to the development of headphones designed for music lovers is a natural extension for the business and our fans,” says Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder, CEO and creative director.
The Adaro Wireless is probably the highlight of the launch offering 40mm drivers supported by Bluetooth 4.0 standard with aptX technology to bring CD-quality audio backed with a whopping 20 hr playback which is excellent for consumers on the go.
The pricing is also surprisingly cheap with the Adaro Wireless coming in at $199.95 AUD.
It’s the first time I’ve seen Razer branch out to something more than gaming and it’s good to see an already successful company look into new avenues to tackle.
Here’s the list of prices with pre-orders opening mid-January and availability worldwide in February:
- Razer Adaro Wireless – $199.95
- Razer Adaro Stereos – $149.95
